The Lynton and Barnstaple Railway has a great new web site thanks to Drupal and the combined efforts of Likemind Web Services and L&B staff.

The site is aimed at both casual visitors and enthusiasts alike. There’s a wealth of information and images for which Drupal provides an ideal vehicle, with its wide-ranging and flexible set of tools for the presentation and management of content.

More about Drupal

Drupal is a content management system based on the widely-used LAMP architecture (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP). It’s used to power some very busy sites. Its functionality can be extended through the use of different code “modules”, which provide useful features such as online shopping and picture galleries, while its appearance can be modified via templates called “themes”.

There’s many modules and themes available, all free to download, though technical expertise will be needed to carry out the further customization that most sites require.
