Northam Burrows

Northam Burrows is on the Bristol Channel between Westward Ho! and Appledore. After passing a golf course on which sheep and ponies provide surprising extra hazards for the devotees of the dimpled ball you come to a huge flat beach very popular with both kiteboarders and dogwalkers.

Providing the tide is out, it’s a great place for a walk on a sunny day at any time of the year. The views across the channel to Braunton are breathtaking.
